OTR SESSIONS
Off the Record was a DIY video series that brought together artists in tandem with a live band to perform a live rendition of their music at the historic Different Fur Studios. From 2018-2020 we released 21 original sessions and artist interviews.
Off the Record was a project I started in 2018 as the video series “For the Record” and later was able to continue with the help of the amazing team at Marrón Creatives and Different Fur Studios.
We showcased talent from the Bay Area and beyond. OTR Sessions was a tight-knit, self-funded and small team. I played the role of director, producer, photographer and everything in between that doesn’t require playing an instrument or recording one.
Off the Record was only made possible thanks to all the amazing musicians that we are able to work with. One night in the Mission, I overheard The Sauce Band playing on the corner of 16th & Valencia and we were able to partner up with them to be our in-house band. We have also worked with a bunch of other talented local musicians like Andrew Bearford, Drew Banga, Clay Xavier, and Wax Roof. Shoutout to everyone that has made this series possible, including all the talented photographers on the team, like Jyhanne and Amina El Kabbany.
